Are These the Top 20 "Opening Lyrics" in Country Music History?

The first few lyrics of a song are significant. With any luck they're as memorable as the chorus or the hook that sticks in your mind. So AOL decided to rank what they consider the "Top 20 Songs With The Most Memorable Opening Lyrics" in country music history. It's a pretty solid list . . . although I'm sure you could think of a few more that didn't make the cut. Here's the Top Ten . . .

.) "Luckenbach, Texas", Waylon Jennings

.) "I Saw the Light", Hank Williams

.) "Friends in Low Places", Garth Brooks

.) "Folsom Prison Blues", Johnny Cash

.) "He Stopped Loving Her Today", George Jones

.) "9 to 5", Dolly Parton

.) "Hello Walls", Faron Young

.) "Whiskey Lullaby", Brad Paisley & Alison Krauss

.) "Here for the Party", Gretchen Wilson

.) "Always on My Mind", Willie Nelson
