Trace Adkins Shows Off His Tennessee Cabin to Cowboys & Indians.

Since Trace Adkins' family home near Nashville burned last June, he and his family have been staying at their farm about an hour outside Music City in Eagleville, TN. Trace is featured on the cover of Cowboys & Indians' April issue, on stands now. He gave the magazine a tour of the cabin on the property. Trace laid out the initial plan for the 3,200 square feet home designing it to be as open and spacious as possible.
The basement of the cabin is the kids' area complete with 12 bunk beds so Trace's children can bring their friends to the house. He says,"That’s where all the bunk beds are, and they have their open space and the big-screen TV where they can do their [Nintendo] Wii thing and all that stuff." Trace adds, "It’s like a camp, almost. Camp Adkins." Trace and his family plan to start working on a new home in Nashville this spring.

Lee Brice's Tour Bus Caught Fire While He and His Crew Were Inside . . . But No One Was Hurt.

LEE BRICE'S tour bus caught fire on Saturday a few hours before his show at TOBY KEITH'S I Love This Bar and Grill in Mesa, Arizona. Lee and some of his crew were on the bus at the time but everyone got off safely. Lee told Phoenix's KNXV-TV, quote, "I was sleeping. A few of us were sleeping. They were like,'bus is on fire, we're not kidding.' So we had to run off and within a couple of minutes it was in flames. The whole back was burned through." After firefighters cleared the passengers they pulled out the luggage and equipment. A few items were lost, like stage clothes and some gear. Officials believe the fire started in the engine area, perhaps from a short in the bus batteries. Lee put it all in perspective when he said, quote, "You know what, everybody is okay and that's really the most important thing. We're blessed. We'll be okay." By the way . . . Lee Brice and his band managed to shake the whole thing off and still do their show that night.

Trace Adkins' Burned-Down House is Finally Meeting the Wrecking Ball.

Even though TRACE ADKINS' house burned to the ground last summer, what's left still had to be demolished and hauled away. But you can't just rush in . . . you need to wait for inspectors and insurance people to do their thing. Still, Trace had been growing impatient. A month after the fire he said, quote, "It takes ridiculously long. I just want to get what's left of that house torn down. It looks sad. It's the eyesore of the neighborhood. We all want to get it gone." Well, all that nonsense is finally over and the house is being hauled away piece by piece. Trace posted a photo on Twitter for everyone to see. He wrote, "The house is coming down."

Trace Adkins Insisted on Coming Right Home After His House Burned Down.

TRACE ADKINS' wife Rhonda is cool. Maybe too cool. As you may recall, Trace was in Alaska doing some shows and some fishing when Rhonda called saying their house burned down. And then she gave him the okay to KEEP fishing. Trace explains why that wasn't the right thing to do. He said, quote, "I told her after the plane refueled I would head back and she told me just to stay there, that there was nothing I could do in Nashville. "I told her (to) think about that headline:'Trace Adkins' House Burns, His Family Is Homeless and He Goes Fishing in Alaska.' So I came home and she was right, there was nothing I could do but hug them." Speaking of Trace: His new album is coming out August 2nd. It's called "Proud To Be Here". The title holds special meaning to Trace. He explains, quote, "It was chosen as the album title some weeks ago. "It's how I've felt ever since my first album release and during every milestone since. The title song could have been based on my life and it's about narrow escapes and the grace that guides you through. "Obviously, now after the fire, 'Proud To Be Here' takes on an even greater significance. Once again, I've been blessed and everyone is safe. I don't even want to think what could've been had it started at 3:00 A.M. instead of 3:00 P.M."
