Shania Twain Thanks Celine Dion for Making Caesars Palace Residency a Pleasure.

Shania Twain opens her Still the One show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Saturday, December 1, and she's already feeling at home in Sin City. Her fellow Canadian Celine Dion was the first artist to perform at The Colosseum nearly 10 years ago, and Shania credits Celine with making the experience of performing at Caesars Palace so great for other artists. "I think everybody has learned how to make the scenario work through the experience of Celine," Shania tells the Las Vegas Sun. "I am just totally happy here. They have just done a great job of making me feel at home, and I totally do feel it already." These concerts mark Shania's return to the concert stage for the first time in nearly a decade. She has been very public about her struggle to regain her voice in the studio and on stage in the past few years.  The Colosseum stage now feels like home to Shania, and these shows are a big step for her return back into the spotlight. She says, "I had to bring myself to a point where I was back on the stage again and not just in the studio, so that has been my own journey. Nobody can encourage you; you just have to do it, physically just get out there and do it." Shania is most excited about performing for her fans again, saying, "That will be what I haven’t experienced in a long time. That will probably create a lot of adrenaline."

Shania Twain Will Be Doing a Two-Year Residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas!

Turns out yesterday's big announcement from SHANIA TWAIN is that she's kicking off a two-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. She'll be doing 60 shows per year. "Shania: Still The One" will begin its run on December 1st.

Taylor Swift and Shania Twain Taped a "Thelma & Louise" Parody for Tonight's "CMT Music Awards"

Tonight's "CMT Music Awards" will open with a "Thelma & Louise" video parody starring SHANIA TWAIN and TAYLOR SWIFT. I'm guessing Taylor is playing the GEENA DAVIS part, while Shania will try to fill out the SUSAN SARANDON role. There's also a special cameo from "Glee" stud CHORD OVERSTREET *(most likely revisiting BRAD PITT'S breakout role.) Side note: Chord is the son of country legend TOMMY OVERSTREET. But you already knew that. :) The video was shot Monday in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee, which is near Nashville.

Shania Twain's Stalker Was Arrested Outside the Canadian Music Hall of Fame . . . While She was Being Inducted Inside!

How's this for good news and bad news at the same time? While SHANIA TWAIN was being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame on Sunday, her stalker was outside the venue getting arrested. Shania's stalker, a 50-year-old physician named Dr. John Palumbo, had been under a court order prohibiting him from getting within 500 yards of her. (--I know, Shania has some high-class stalkers.) Apparently, this dude's been obsessed with Shania for a long time, which explains the court order to stay the heck away! He's due back in court tomorrow and let's hope he finally gets the message.

Shania Twain Gets Married on New Year's Day in Puerto Rico!

Shania Twain and Swiss businessman Frederic Thiebaud were married on New Year's Day in Rincon, Puerto Rico, a community on the western coast of the Caribbean island. Twain's manager, Jason Owen, announced the marriage to People magazine on Saturday (Jan. 1). The ceremony took place at sunset "in front of 40 of their closest family and friends," he said. Twain, 45, confirmed her engagement to Thibaud, 40, on Dec. 20. She was married for 14 years to record producer Robert "Mutt" Lange. Thiebaud's ex-wife, Marie-Anne Thiebaud, managed Twain and Lange's chateau in Switzerland. Twain's marriage ended after Lange allegedly had an affair with Marie-Anne Thiebaud. Twain and Frederic Thiebaud, an executive with Nestle, the Swiss-based food and beverage company, became romantically involved in 2009 after the breakup of their marriages.

Shania Twain‘s rep confirmed to US Weekly that Shania is ENGAGED to longtime boyfriend Frederic Thiebaud. Thiebaud is the ex-husband of Twain’s former best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud.
