Jason Aldean And His Wife Told "CBS This Morning" That They're Doing Fine . . . Even Though Their Marriage Hasn't Always Been Roses.

JASON ALDEAN and his wife Jessica were on yesterday's "CBS This Morning". It was their first public appearance together since Jason was caught "messing around" with former "American Idol" contestant BRITTANY KERR. The show started with a taped piece about Jason's "amazing rise" to the top. They touched on his yearly "Concert for the Cure" and then got down to business and asked how they're doing. Jason fielded that one. He said, quote, "I think we're fine. "Anytime you go through something like that it's tough. We've been together a long time and have been through a lot of things together. Those are things most people get to deal with in private. We didn't have the luxury of doing that. "I would say go ask any couple that's been married 30, 40, 50 years. I guarantee-"  That's when Jessica jumped in and said, "I would love to hear THEIR story." And Jason wrapped it up, saying, quote, "It hasn't always been roses."

Jason Aldean Hopes to Someday Put an Entertainer of the Year Trophy on His Shelf

Every country artist wants to win an Entertainer of the Year award, right?  Of course they do. But not all of them will come right out and admit it. So I like it when JASON ALDEAN simply lays his cards on the table. Jason told the "Tennessean", quote, "That award is something that I hope that I can look back and say, 'You know what? I got one of those, even if it is just one.' "For me, I put everything I've had into our live shows and tried to build my career around that. If there's one award to me that means anything else, it's that one." Professionally, Jason had the kind of year that could bring home the big trophy, that is if the CMA voters are willing to ignore his adulterous indiscretion with that former "American Idol" chick Brittany Kerr. If they can't, Jason understands. He says, quote, "I said at SOME point in my career. It doesn't have to be this year. I mean, as much as I think the timing of this could affect that, that's kind of the last thing on my mind right now, too."

Jason Aldean's Song "1994" Is a Salute to Joe Diffie . . . and Jason is Doing a Stadium Tour Next Summer

JASON ALDEAN'S new album "Night Train" has a song called "1994" . . . but it's NOT about that particular year. It's actually a salute to one of Jason's musical heroes, JOE DIFFIE. The song name checks a bunch of Joe's hits . . . and even calls out his name repeatedly. CMT asked Joe for his take.  He said, quote, "It's really an honor. When I heard it, I was stunned. "I was like. 'You gotta be kidding me.'  It's pretty flattering they went that far with it. It's one thing to hear a song title or your name mentioned, but when it started into the 'Joe.  Joe.  Joe Diffie' part, that's cool right there." Speaking of Jason Aldean:  He's doing a huge stadium tour next summer . . . and has already announced two big dates. One is Chicago's Wrigley Field . . . and the other is Fenway Park in Boston (Pictured Above). Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett will open.

Jason Aldean Takes Fans Inside His Tennessee Home.

Jason Aldean opens the doors of his 5,000-square foot, 18-acre Tennessee retreat for the latest issue of People Country. "I had a good time doing the shoot and having everybody come out to the house," he says. "It gives the fans an inside look at my place and my life offstage, which I thought was great." A day with the Aldeans might include riding four-wheelers with daughters 9-year-old Keeley and 5-year-old Kendyl, or teaching the girls to fish. Jason says he and his wife Jessica often sneak away for daytime dates to grab a burger or a sandwich while the kids are at school. Evenings focus on family dinners, with favorites like Jessica’s mac and cheese, and bedtime tickle fights with his girls. “It’s one of my favorite parts of the day,” he says of tucking in his daughters. The October issue of People Country is available now.

Jason Aldean Is Not Worrying About the Follow-up to "My Kinda Party"

There's really only one downside to having a monster album like JASON ALDEAN'S "My Kinda Party" and that's making sure the follow-up isn't lame. Wait, there's another downside. It's nonstop questions about the follow-up. Jason has fielded his share, but he's not letting it get to him. He says, quote, "Honestly, I tried to just not even worry about it. To go in with the mindset of trying to top ['My Kinda Party'] or make an album that sells more than the last, you can't really do that. If you start to think that way, you're gonna set yourself up for failure."

Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum Announcing CMA Awards Nominees Wednesday, September 5!

Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum will announce the nominees for the 46th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday, September 5 on ABC's Good Morning America and later at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square. Five categories will be announced on GMA in the 8:30 a.m. ET half-hour that morning with the remaining seven categories revealed at the Hard Rock. This marks the first time all of the nominees have been announced in New York City since 2005. Jason looks forward to the CMA nominations and awards show all year long. He says, "I feel honored to be able to help make the nominations announcement on Good Morning America, and hopefully I'll get to read some of my friends' names that morning.”
Lady Antebellum has received quite a few CMA trophies in the past few years. The group's Charles Kelley says, "It's still unbelievable to me when I see our name on a list of nominees. That night is always such a blast because it's your chance to catch up with everyone and celebrate country music and all the hard work put in throughout the year." The nominations will be streamed that morning at CMAAwards.com.  Lee Brice will reveal the nominees for in the radio categories that morning in Nashville as well.
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley return as hosts for the CMA Awards airing live on ABC on Thursday, November 1.

Jason Aldean and His Road Crew Enjoy a Nice Game of Whiffle Ball!

A lot of today's country stars workout like mad men on the road. TIM MCGRAW and KENNY CHESNEY come to mind. But not everyone wants sculpted pecs and washboard abs. Take JASON ALDEAN, for example. When it comes to working out, he prefers the team sport thing. He says, quote, "I go play whiffle ball . . . on the lawn of the venue . . . every day. "Me and my band play, and then sometimes we'll play against LUKE [BRYAN] and his band. I played baseball my whole life, so I'm pretty good."
Jason and his crew used to get down with some serious hoops . . . but then people started rolling ankles and coming up lame before the show . . . so that had to stop. He says, quote, "We were playing basketball, but everybody started getting hurt. So we figured we'd try something where that was a little less likely." There's one more reason it sounds like fun to be on the road with Jason and his crew. They eat real food. He explains, quote, "We eat chicken and potato chips and drink beer."

Jason Aldean Loves Summer, Because He Gets to See His Daughters

Everyone has their reasons for loving summer. JASON ALDEAN loves the season because his daughters Keeley and Kendylare home from school and that means they're around at the same time. Jason says, quote, "I love having my two daughters home. Usually when I get home, I'm home Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and when they're out of school, I get to spend a lot of time with them during the day."

Jason Aldean's New Single Is Already Number One on iTunes!

JASON ALDEAN released his new single "Take A Little Ride" on Monday . . . and it's already the Number One song on the iTunes all-genre singles chart. It's even taken Jason by surprise. He said, quote, "We've never come out of the box and gone to number one so quickly. I added the song into my set this weekend on the road for the first time, and everything is feeling really great out there. "I couldn't have asked for a better kick off for this new album . . . my fans are unbelievable." Even though Jason has been racking up #1 songs, it's still not something he's taking for granted. He added, quote,"You never know which song may be your last one. "'Why' was our first number one, and it seemed like three years until we had another. I learned early not to not take them for granted, and just enjoy them."  (--"Why" was on Jason's self-titled debut album, which came out in 2005.)

Jason Aldean Does Not Want His Song "Fly Over States" to Be Adopted By a Political Candidate.

JASON ALDEAN'S song "Fly Over States" is an ode to the heartland of America and the people who bust their backsides to make it great. Jason's proud of the message, which is why he does NOT want a politician to swoop and steal it. He says, quote, "It'll be my luck that the worst candidate will pick up 'Fly Over States' as his election song. Then I'll be forever linked to that guy, whoever he is! "One of the things about my music is that people who are from Middle America, the heartland, that's kind of where I grew up. Those people have always related to what I was doing, and this song speaks directly to those people."

Jason Aldean on Valentines day...

Jason Aldean plans on taking his wife Jessica out at some point for Valentine's Day, but February 14 is also their oldest daughter Keeley's birthday. Jason admits she gets most of the attention on Valentine's Day at their house, and he's usually scrambling to get Jessica something for the romantic holiday at the last minute. "I'm like, the biggest procrastinator on the planet," Jason admits. "Possibly the morning of the 14th is when I'll go do my Valentine's shopping."

Hank Williams Jr. Walked Off The Stage at CMT's "Artist of the Year" Taping.

Regardless of how you feel about HANK WILLIAMS JR., the man is never boring. His latest bit of chaos happened at the taping of CMT's "Artists of the Year" on Tuesday. Hank abruptly walked off the stage while performing "Tattoos On This Town" with JASON ALDEAN. He wasn't mad at Jason or anything. His reps claim Hank just didn't feel he was doing the song justice. Sadly, the walk-off will not be seen when the show airs on December 13th. Jason simply redid the song on his own with his band.

I would think when an artist asks you to join them on stage (as seen in pic above), you would consider it an honor and see it through. I think it was disrepectful of Hank to walk off. Jason Aldean is a VERY talented person. I think Jason knew what he was doing when he asked Hank to sit in. I think if Jason thought it wasn't going well, he would of said something. It shouldn't be Hanks decision. Small slap in the face to Aldean. But, Jason is a tough guy. I think his skin is much thicker than that.

Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift & More to Perform at 2011 CMA Awards.

With less than two months until country music’s biggest night, the first round of 2011 CMA Awards performers were announced this morning. All five Entertainer of the Year nominees will take the stage during the 45th annual awards show. That means plenty of face-time from Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban. “I look forward to being able to perform on awards shows,” Urban says in a sound clip provided by his record label. “That is absolute moment that matters most to me is getting to play, because the other stuff is — I don’t know about the other stuff. I know about playing, and that’s the only thing I know about.” Shelton, Aldean, Swift and Paisley lead the CMA nominations with five each. A win in the Entertainer category would be a first for Shelton and Aldean. Swift (2008), Paisley (2010) and Urban (2005) have previously won the award. This year’s CMA Awards will be broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 9 at 8PM on ABC. Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the show for the third straight year. More presenters and performers will be announced in the weeks leading up to the show.

Jason Aldean Recalls Rocking Cowboy Boots Back in High School...

Jason Aldean has always been a country fan, and he used to make this very clear with his high school wardrobe. CMT recently spoke to the musician, and Aldean explained that he was (and still is) a huge fan of Brooks and Dunn, Tracy Lawrence and Tim McGraw during his high school years. In fact, he loved country music so much that he used to wear cowboy boots to school! “Me and my friends were all big country music fans. I remember when school would start back up after summer was over, and everybody’d be singing the songs that were big hits over summer, and we’d all be wearing our cowboy boots to school,” Aldean tells CMT.
Aldean loves the timelessness and nostalgia that certain music evokes, and he hopes that fans will feel this way about his music in the future. “My music, it ain’t music that’s gonna change the world or anything. But whenever I hear a song that I go, ‘That makes me think of me being 17 years old again,’ I gotta feel like there’s an audience for that. I make music that, if I was a fan, I’d want to listen to in my truck,” Aldean says. The ‘Dirt Road Anthem’ hitmaker also thinks that teens have an easier time relating to the type of music he is creating now, rather than the more vintage tunes he grew up on. “That’s the way the circle of music happens,” he explains. Despite this idea, Aldean’s music seems to attract fans of all ages. He says, “I play what I play, and whoever likes it, likes it.”

Jason Aldean Believes The Best Years Of Our Lives Happen in High School.

If you've caught JASON ALDEAN on tour this summer then you probably saw him perform his new song, "Tattoos On This Town". It's about the mark you leave on your hometown and the lasting impression that town leaves on you. According to Jason, most of that influence occurs during your high school years. He says, quote, "People don't realize in high school that those are some of the best times that you're ever gonna have. "You don't realize it at the time, and the next phase comes along, and you get married and have kids and transition from teen to adult. But you always look back on those teenage years [and] you talk about them. "When I get around my friends, we talk about, 'Remember when we did this?' "You just don't worry about any consequences when you're a teenager, but at some point, you get smart and realize, 'I can't do those things anymore, but it was fun when I did it.'"

Jason Aldean Doesn't Care If People Hate His "Dirt Road Anthem" Raps

JASON ALDEAN knew he was going to offend at least a few country purists by inserting some hip-hop rhymes into his song "Dirt Road Anthem". But his message to those people is: It's STILL country. He says, quote, "The song is a country song, I don't care how you slice it. The basis of the song is the exact same thing I talk about in a lot of my songs, it's just a different way of delivering it. "For a one time deal for me, it's different, cool and unlike anything we've put out." Jason's instincts are pretty solid because "Dirt Road Anthem" is currently Number One on the "Billboard" Top Country Songs chart. Jason's bigger point is that he's doing things his way, regardless of what other people say. He continues, quote, "I think from day one I brought my flair to what I do and my version is what I think country music is. "What I think country music is may not be what everyone else thinks it is."

Jason Aldean is Mad That Brad Paisley Got Alabama Back Together.

JASON ALDEAN had mixed emotions when he heard BRAD PAISLEY had pulled ALABAMA out of retirement to perform on his single "Old Alabama". On one hand, Jason was happy that his favorite band was back in business. But on the other, he was annoyed that HE wasn't the one who pulled it off. Jason says, quote, "I'm actually kind of mad at Paisley. "I wanted to be the guy that got Alabama out of retirement, and it was him. So, I'm a little upset with him right now. But I'm glad somebody did it. Those guys need to be back at it. I miss hearing them sing together."
